It’ll be a ton of fun fun fun, so grab your friends and I’ll see you there!

Hello Central Lakes!

I’ve just uploaded the summer edition of Central Lakes Reflections in the newsletter category, so please, PLEASE check it out.

Also, the New York District will be having a district-wide service project entitled Kamp Kiwanis Klean Up. It’s going to be a TON TON TON of fun, so you should come! For more information, please visit our district website:

http://www.nycirclek.org/Events.html

Also, the tentative date for our Regional Leadership Training Conference is either September 26 (Saturday) or September 27 (Sunday). The date and location will be determined in a few days (it will definitely be somewhere in the Central Lakes Division, but the training conference will obviously be open to any member of the New York District).

If you have any questions, concerns or comments, you know where to find me!

International Convention!

Hello Central Lakes Division! This is your lieutenant governor speaking in Birmingham, Alabama. International Convention has come and gone, and there is TONS to update everyone on for the year. Since International Convention, I’ve been PUMPED to really start the new school year, so we can kick the service into high gear! Within the next few days, many resources will be coming out for you, the members and officers of the mighty Central Lakes Division, from the district board and myself. I hope that you all take advantage of the materials given to you, and I will be sure to give a full report of International Convention once I am back at home!

Summer Update

Whoo! It’s been a while since I’ve updated this site, and I feel an update is VERY VERY necessary.

Below, I have added the links to the committee applications that are running around the New York District.

Technology Committee
Governor’s Project Committee
Kiwanis Family Relations Committee

I highly suggest you join, and you to convince your other Circle K-ers to join. The Committee chairs are highly qualified and excited to get the good year going, so please contact me or any one on the district board for more questions or comments.

In other news, the date for the next District Conference has been announced. NY SPEAKING (our fall/winter counterpart of District Convention) will be held from October 30, 2009 to November 1, 2009. There will be more information to come, but please keep a heads up, and those dates open. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE your clubs to send at least 2 delegates to the conference.

That’s all for now. I promise to update more often!

April Reflections

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing well! I’m just posting to tell you that the new introductory newsletter is out (Central Lakes Reflections) for the April month, so I hope you’re all excited to read it. As always, my information is included inside and all that good stuff. A copy of it can be found in the newsletter section of this website, or you can visit here for your newsletter dose of CKI goodies.

Just a quick reminder to all secretaries and presidents, please hand in your paperwork. I will harass you only if I must! Please hand in your PRFs, MPRFs and Election Report Forms asap!

I hope you all are having a great April week, and I hope to see you all when I next blog.

Welcome

Today, April 1, 2009, marks the start of the 2009-2010 Circle K International Service Year! I hope you’re all as excited as I am to start jumping into service from the get go.

To start the new year off with a fling, I have a couple announcements to make today:

The Circle K Magazine is up!

You can download your very own copy of the CKI magazine here. It contains tons of information about Circle K International, and the upcoming International Convention (Icon).

International Convention

The CKI International Convention is an annual event where clubs from all over the world gather to celebrate all that is Circle K International! This year, ICon will be held in beautiful Birmingham, Alabama from August 5-8. More information can be found here or in the calendar section of this website.

Committee Positions

The start of a new year always brings new opportunities for leadership, fellowship and service. And with the new 2009-2010 year, 9 appointed committee chair positions have been opened up for the whole New York District to apply. This is a great way to get involved in the district, and anyone from president to member can apply.

Each Committee Position specializes in a certain aspect of CKI life, whether it be helping organize conventions and conferences, or working with other Kiwanis branches to strengthen K-Family Relations. I encourage you all to apply, and wish anyone applying the best of luck!

The Committee Chair application can be found here, and should be emailed to Governor Mike (michael.nycki@gmail.com) no later than April 19, 2009

Work

Progress has been made on the Central Lakes Division Website! I am please to say the About and Newsletter pages are done, and I will continue working on the other pages as we continue. Also, the navigation bar is complete. There are many important links to go through, including a CKI Calendar that will provide most helpful and the various links to the CKI Google Groups to get information from the District and International boards.

I hope you all continue to make use of the divisional website!
